Tiny House Living – Need to Know

Tiny House Living – Is It Good? Right for You? Here’s what you need to know.

I’m moving house at the end of this month. It’s more traumatic than I expected. Mainly because I’m down-sizing – big time. I’ve been reading some of my earlier articles on tiny house living. And because I found them helpful, I wanted to put a list of them all together in one place, for easy reference.

First though, I was named an expert in a recent Redfin article – you can read the full article here:  Tiny House Living: The Future of Sustainable and Intentional Living | Rent | ApartmentGuide.

It’s got some really great tips from other experts too. As they rightly say in their post, “At the heart of the tiny house movement is a desire for simplicity, a return to what really matters”.

And indeed it is.

We need to prioritize what’s important in our lives.

It’s amazing how much “stuff” we accumulate over time. And for me, deciding whether things are “necessary” or “bring me joy” has been difficult – but when we move, we’ll have a more streamlined, efficient home. With a place for everything. (But only the necessary or joyous).

(I might add that my husband had no problem deciding what to keep or not). Sigh.

To quote again from the Redfin article – “By decluttering your home, you’re also decluttering your mind, creating space for clarity, calm, and creativity. The result? A home that’s not just smaller, but smarter, more peaceful, and uniquely yours.”

It’s a lovely thought!
