Have a Green Easter with Delightful Easter Gifts!

It’s Easy to be Green –  This Easter Gift Guide will be a Great Help!

Have a Green Easter! If you’re thinking of buying gifts this Easter, make sure they’re green gifts!

Use this Easter Gift Guide to be sure your gifts are eco-friendly this Easter.

Green Easter Eggs

If you’re going to give chocolate eggs as gifts this year, make sure they’re good quality Fair Trade or organic chocolate eggs.

Green Easter Gifts for Kids

Avoid those nasty plastic Easter eggs.  (Plastic is horrible for the environment and is made from petroleum).

If you’re going to organize an Egg Hunt, then hard-boil a whole pile of real eggs, and paint or dye them in lovely, natural colours made from plants and vegetables.  Then you can eat them afterwards!

Somehow, there seem to be more artificial eggs than real chocolate eggs in the shops these days.

I can’t say I’m a great fan of compostable Easter eggs.  They’re marketed as green, and I agree they’re better than plastic.  But why buy something you’re going to throw away immediately?

Another option for a kids’ gift is Lego, because it is a toy which is re-used often (I used my Lego for years and years as a child).  They have various Easter-themed toys, such as this LEGO Easter Bunny with Eggs.

Books Make Great Green Easter Gifts!

books are green easter giftsThere are loads of gorgeous Easter-themed books for kids.  I particularly likeThe Easter Egg by Jan Brett.

If you click on the picture of the book, it takes you into Amazon where you can see the story of the book.  It’s a lovely story, and the book is beautifully illustrated.

For younger children, always consider a book which encourages learning.  This board book Happy Easter, Mouse! (If You Give…) with a lovely, interactive story for example, improves counting skills and colour recognition.

Easter Gifts for Adults

Offer a very precious gift – the gift of Time.  Offer to babysit for a couple of hours, or run errands.  If you have specific skills, offer them – set up a computer, style hair, knit or sew something they need…..

If you’re Hosting this Easter

Use natural décor especially for your table.  Bring the outdoors in and use Nature as your decorator.  No shopping to worry about, no nasty plastic to dispose of afterwards, and it’s free!
