Home Remedy for Skin Wounds
There’s a super-easy-to-grow plant that can calm burns, heal wounds and repair skin. You probably know about it already – but did you know how easy it is to grow?
Aloe vera can grow in almost any climate. You can search online for great growing tips, but it basically needs a spot where it’ll get some sun, and then you let it dry out between watering.
Aloe vera has long, thick leaves filled with a gel that is packed with vitamins, minerals and healing enzymes – they make aloe vera gel one of the best topical (skin) remedies the Earth has to offer.
If you don’t want to grow your own, you can buy aloe vera gel – be sure to choose one with no added ingredients.
The leaves contain fatty acids that help with pain relief, and are used to soothe burns, heal wounds and repair skin. Just cut off a leaf as close to the stem as possible, trim away the green skin and you’re left with a translucent gel that you can rub anywhere that is hurting.
Or just rub the cut edge of a slice of aloe vera leaf along a wound.
You can even drink the gel! It’s refreshing – and it supports your digestive system by regulating the number of bacteria in your gut flora and soothing inflamed gastrointestinal tissue.
You can also use pure honey for skin burns.
